The first cohort of CityU SCOPE' s and Krystal Institute's foundational ERB "Certificate in Creative Digital Media Design and Production Assistant Training" course has officially graduated.

Students received training in producing a variety of multimedia products during the 2-month course and were gradually exposed to more complex fields such as 2D, 3D animation and video game production. This course focused on developing students' creative design thinking abilities, enhancing their knowledge of digital media concepts, and instilling knowledge and skills in the operation of related open-source software tools.

Students presented their group projects in the last class on August 13, sharing their work with their peers and instructors, which are based on what they had learned in the past two months. Students demonstrated their in-depth understanding of 2D and 3D animation production principles and creative design thinking, as well as the spirit of teamwork required for digital media productions, showcasing their readiness to join the multimedia production industry. Mr. Wayne Kennedy, a veteran producer currently working at Blizzard Entertainment, was invited to give a graduation speech to the students online, sharing his years of experience in the digital media production industry and answering their questions after the speech.

Under the ERB "Love Upgrading Special Scheme", eligible individuals can enroll in the course free of charge. Also, eligible trainees who have completed a course under the Scheme with attendance rate of 60% will be disbursed special allowance.
