Students will use the open source application Inkscape to learn about the creative media production process of vector graphics and how information is conveyed in images.
The course will introduce the characteristics of vector graphics in terms of resolution, color tone and style, and then move on to advanced vector graphics editing techniques such as image sharpening and color correction, and finally, through practice, students will learn how to create personal business cards and complete sets of graphic designs. As a powerful and easy-to-use software, Inkscape can fully satisfy this series of teaching needs.
The instructor will demonstrate a number of creative media production cases and answer students' questions on the spot, creating a harmonious classroom atmosphere with close student-teacher interaction. Each case study is accompanied by an assignment for students to complete on their own so that the instructor can assess their knowledge at the end of the class. By the end of the course, each student/group should be able to work independently on their creative media work using Inkscape.

Trainer Profile
Mr.Andy Yeung
Engaged in art design related industries for many years, served as art director or director of art department of many newspapers and advertising companies, and has extensive and in-depth understanding and production experience in art-related work such as printing graphic design, illustration production and online platforms. In the early years, he wrote column articles for Computer Square Magazine, mainly introducing art software, hardware and software usage. Later, he wrote art software teaching books for Taiwan Publishing House. In terms of teaching experience, he has served in many As the head of the company's art department, he produced and taught training courses related to art printing or software for middle school students and internal employees. Later, he also served as a tutor or teaching assistant for short-term training courses in many primary and secondary schools.
